Mercy Kids Nutrition Therapy Services

Nurturing Healthy Eating Habits

Eating is an essential and necessary part of your child’s everyday life. Eating should also be a low-stress, simple part of the day. At Mercy Kids Center for Neurodevelopment, we understand that’s not always the case. Some children may struggle with certain textures, tastes and food groups, as well as weight gain or weight loss. Our outpatient registered dietitian is available to help children with many different conditions and diagnoses, such as:

  • Feeding difficulties
  • Food allergies
  • Specialty diets
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Weight management issues, such as obesity or failure to thrive in infants

Mercy Kids dietitians give you strategies to help your child maintain a well-rounded, nutritious diet and maintain a healthy body weight. Using their knowledge of growth patterns, food, and metabolism, they help you identify foods and plan meals that will help your child grow and thrive all throughout their life.
